Christine Wolff started vocal and piano lessons at an early age.  She studied voice at the University of Music & Theatre Leipzig with Kammersängerin Sigrid Kehl and subsequently with Professor V. Hruba-Freiberger. Her present vocal mentor is Kammersängerin Brigitte Eisenfeld of the Staatsoper Berlin.

After engagements at the opera houses of Chemnitz and Dessau she made guest appearances at such prestigious venues as the state theatres in Munich, Schwerin and Cottbus, and the Leipzig, Halle and Chemnitz opera houses. Further guest performances in roles from opera and operetta took her to theatres throughout Germany.

She recently appeared at the Leipzig opera as both actress and singer in the role of Fanny Hensel in the premiere of the melodrama "Solo Fanny", which was dedicated to her.

She has an immense concert repertoire.

An inspiring performance of Monteverdi's Marian Vespers of 1610 introduced Christine Wolff to the practice of historically informed performance. Stylistic assurance and technical perfection have endowed her with a vocal presence capable of ranging from early music productions with, e.g., Musica Antiqua Köln, the Clemencic Consort, Concertgebouw orchestra Amsterdam, La Cetra Basel, L'Arpeggiata, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, through the classical concert repertoire and into the realm of modern classical composition (Poulenc, Martin, Honegger, Orff).

In 2000 Christine Wolff won 2nd prize in the young soloists' podium of the German Concert Choirs' Association.

Christine Wolff performs throughout Europe and beyond and has worked with such renowned ensembles as Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Porto National Orchestra, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Thomanerchor Leipzig, Dresdner Kreuzchor, and Windsbach Boys' Choir, and conductors including Kurt Masur, Peter Schreier, Michail Jurowski, Marc Tardue, Hans-Christian Rademann, Hermann Max, Georg Christoph Biller, Reinhard Goebel, and Frans Brüggen. She has made guest appearances at numerous international festivals such as the 'Schlossfestspiele' at Ludwigsburg and Herrenchiemsee, Musica Viva Moscow, Gümüslük International Classical Music Festival, the Handel Festival in Halle, and early music festivals in Innsbruck, Melk, Utrecht, Knechtsteden and Herne.

She appears in a wide range of recordings. 2012 saw the release of Mendelssohn's Elias under the Hänssler PROFIL Edition label as well as a debut CD produced by Rondeau featuring Christine Wolff's ensemble Voci a Corde, a unique combination of harp and two female voices.

Christine Wolff continues to study the human voice, the organic breathing process and historical singing technique. She supports her firm belief that everybody can learn to experience the pleasure of singing through intensive teaching in master classes and seminars on voice physiology and vocal practice for individual singers and interested choirs.
